I have not one but two things to announce in relation to One Direction’s song ‘One Thing’…
The first is that I’m 30 and One Direction are my guilty pleasure. I have their calendar and I am going to see them twice on their 2013 tour. I probably should be ashamed but I’m not.
The second is that I’ve mapped the main locations from the ‘One Thing’ video (shot in a day in London and chock full of classic British sights) so you can create your own little One Direction tour when you next come to London. Have a look at all the video screengrabs then recreate it using the Google Map at the bottom
Cover for the single – shot in front of Lambeth Bridge
First verse – Battersea Park
Battersea Park Fountains
Bussing it over Westminster Bridge to the Houses of Parliament
Harry Styles looking fetching in front of a Horseguards Parade horse
And driving past Admiralty Arch, right by Trafalgar Square…
Pulling into Trafalgar Square for the second verse (Niall pointing out the National Gallery)
Busking in Trafalgar Square… I wonder how many pence they made?
Bussing it over Waterloo Bridge after nightfall…
…Only to appear on a sofa by the Tate Modern, with the Millennium Bridge and St Paul’s Cathedral in the background…
Pulling into Covent Garden Piazza (East side) – spot the Dirty Martini logo on the right!
Jumping around to the last few choruses in front of St Paul’s Church, the backwards church in Covent Garden
And the final shot, of Lambeth Bridge, very apt in its red, white and blue.
If you do the 1D tour, please send us a pic of you walking in their shoes!
Let me know if you can recognise any locations I’ve missed – I’ll add them in
